California Soul - Marlena Shaw

Please excuse this California rant - but sometimes you wake up in the morning and your just feeling it. Which is somewhat uncommon in LA. But somedays your not stepping over garbage on the streets, rather your walking on sunshine. Even the bums sleeping on the beach go about their work cheerfully packing up their strange smelly bundles, greeting the new day with wonder and optimism.

I really like songs about california, especially now that I live here - which seems kind of narcissistic… but I really don’t care. Also I’m pretty sure narcissism pays most peoples bills here.

California used to be like this idea - something you saw on tv or in a film (isn’t it funny how it is “on” tv but “in” a film)      

Sorry, I’m going to abort this rant now. Just know that today is awesome and its even better in California.
